Welcome to Meet in Athens!

The aim of Meet in Athens is to help bring expats in Athens together so that they can make new friends, share their experiences, generally help eachother and have fun.  Sometimes it is great to take time out and get together to share an outsider's perspective on all things Greek.

Since the group started in 2005, our members have met for a whole range of activities including, coffees, drinks, dinners, clubbing, book clubs, days at the beach and trips out of the city.  The countries represented by our members include: UK, Spain, India, USA, France, Germany, Thailand, Italy, Argentina, Romania, Belgium, Russia, Lebanon, Netherlands, Sweden...and many more.  Meet in Athens is rather unique in that instead of being centrally organised with a fixed programme, it is our members who suggest our activities and it is therefore driven by their enthusiasm and energy, which have proved to be very strong so far!

We currently have 350 members on our mailing list.

Meet in Athens provides you with the following:

• Access to a rapidly growing community of expatriot foreigners in Athens with whom you can socialise, make contacts and exchange experiences.
  
  
• An easy-to-use online discussion forum in which you can seek advice about and discuss any aspect of living in Greece or simply communicate online with fellow Meet in Athens members.
  
  
• Access to The Athens Expat Directory, a listing of useful services that currently reaches approximately 1250 people each month.  You can access the latest issue of The Athens Expat Directory by clicking here.
  
  
• In addition to the above, you will receive access to the Meet in Athens mailing list, so that you receive messages about group events and activities directly to your e-mail "in-box" when they are suggested by other members.  You can also send your own suggestions for group activities to fellow members.  This is done simply by sending a message to one e-mail address, which will then be automatically passed onto every member of the group.
